1. 개요[편집]

이 항목은 1850년 ~ 1913년에 취역한 해군 함정을 기입하는 문서이다. 배수량은 만재 배수량 중심으로 구분한다. 1860년 ~ 1913년은 철갑선, 장갑함, 중앙포곽함, 모니터함, 프리 드레드노트(전노급 전함), 세미 드레드노트(준노급 전함), 드레드노트(노급 전함) 등이 등장한 시기이다. 정확하게 말하자면 철갑선은 1858년 ~ 1859년에 등장하였다. 해군의 기술이 가장 급격하게 발전한 시기이다. 그리고 이 시기에서 바로 10년 전인 1850년대에 본격적으로 증기선으로 제작된 증기선전열함인 라 나폴레옹(La Napoleon)이 처음으로 등장한다.
